  • Movie Night @ 4-6 PM: Isle of Dogs – A 2018 stop-motion-animated science-fiction comedy-drama film written, produced and directed by Wes Anderson. Set in a dystopian near-future Japan, the story follows a young boy searching for his dog after the species is banished to an island following the outbreak of a canine flu. Rated PG-13

  • Catherine Valley Trail Nature Walk @ 8:00 AM

  • The library will be open from 8am-5pm Saturday, October 6 for the Harvest Festival
  • We’ll have a small book sale, musicians, local artists and some of their work, bookmark making, free children’s books, selfie station, and more! Stop by and see us!
  • Our seasonal Gift Basket Raffle is coming! Tickets will be for sale at a special introductory price of 2 tickets for $5.
  • The Finger Lakes Art Council will have a tent in front of the library; come say hello!

  • Song and Story @ 10:00 AM with Lisa Fernandez, local musician and founder of Compost Theatre, will bring her blue ukulele for an hour of silly songs with rhymes and reading. All ages welcome.
  • Movie Night @ 4-6 PM: Won’t You Be My Neighbor. A 2018 documentary film about the life and guiding philosophy of Fred Rogers. Rated PG-13

  • Upcycle @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Paper Making with Linda (PART 1) Special guest Linda Fazzary will join us during Upcycle for a two part paper-making class. Attendees are welcome to bring their own materials including paper, colored paper, paint or ink to color their paper, dried botanical materials, etc. Materials will also be available.

  • NEW ♦  Art Class @ 2:30 PM: prior to Open Art. teacher Harry Seichepen will be available with instruction on sketching and drawing! Harry Seichepin has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Printmaking from the University of Florida, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University. He has more than 10 years experience teaching art fundamentals, all levels of drawing, 3-D design, printmaking (lithography, silkscreen, etching, woodcut), and collage/mixed media. He’s taught students aged K-9 at Florida Atlantic University’s Lab School, as well as adult education art courses.
  • Open Art @ 3:30 – 5:00 PM: An hour and a half of art and creativity. Supplies and instruction books provided.

  • “What’s Bugging You” Tanglewood Nature Center presents @ 10:00 AM: This program gives students a chance to learn about insects, spiders, and others that live in the soil, on the forest floor, and in the air. Arthropods outnumber all other animals on Earth, so education on this group is critical. The cast of characters encountered at Tanglewood might include Madagascar hissing cockroaches, a tarantula and other arthropods like millipedes and scorpions. We reinforce the similarities and differences of animals in the arthropod world.
  • Movie Night @ 4:00 PM: Hocus Pocus – A 1993 comedy horror fantasy film starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, the villainous trio of witches who are inadvertently resurrected on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts. Rated PG

Fourth Friday Concert  @ 6:00 PM: Doolin O’Dey : An exciting mix of traditional and original Celtic inspired music.
