Thursday, November 1st

  • Yoga is postponed for two weeks and will resume as usual on November 15th.
  • Infant Lap Time @ 10:00 AM: Sing, dance, and read with newborns and siblings and share information and resources with parents. All ages welcome.
  • ♦♦ Game Night ♦♦ 3:30-5:00 PM – Every Thursday – Bring your favorite game or share ours! Traditional and modern games available. Chess, Exploding Kittens, Mahjong, Watch Yo’ Mouth, Checkers, Cards, and more!

 

Friday, Nov. 2nd

  • Preschool Story Time @ 10:00 AM: We will bring our stories to life with puppets, go ABC fishing, create art, and more!
  • Movie Night @ 4-6 PM: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinosaurs, while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet. Rated PG-13

 

Saturday, Nov. 3rd

  • Upcycle @ 10:00 AM We will be making a natural DIY hand sanitizer which you may take home with you! We’ll also be learning cursive starting with the alphabet and signatures.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 6th

  • Toddler Story Time @ 10:00 AM: An hour of stories and play for curious young minds. Make friends and learn something new. Open to all ages.
  • The Futurists: Next Generation Readers @ 6:00 PM meet to discuss The Girl Who Drank The Moon by Kelly Barnhill.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 7th

  • The Day Book Club @ 11:30 AM
  • Intro to Drawing with Harry Seichepin @ 1:00 – 5:00 PM: Harry Seichepin has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Printmaking from the University of Florida, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University. He has more than 10 years experience teaching art fundamentals, all levels of drawing, 3-D design, printmaking (lithography, silkscreen, etching, woodcut), and collage/mixed media. He  has taught students aged K-9 at Florida Atlantic University’s Lab School, as well as adult education art courses.
  • Classics Reading Group @ 6:00 PM meets to discuss The Man Who Would Be King by Rudyard Kipling.

 

Thursday, Nov. 8th

  • Song and Story @ 10:00 AM with Lisa Fernandez, local musician and founder of Compost Theatre, will bring her blue ukulele for an hour of silly songs with rhymes and reading. All ages welcome.
  • Movie Night @ 4-6 PM: Incredibles 2 – Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for the kids while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.The mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. Rated PG

Tuesday, Nov. 13th

  • Corning Science & Discovery Center @ 10:00 AM Our friends join us for their lesson on Weather and Seasons. Learn about our local climate and seasons. This program is free and geared toward toddlers and pre-k kids but everyone is welcome to attend. 
  • Environmental Literature Reading Group @ 6:00 PM meets to discuss Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 14th

  • Intro to Drawing with Harry Seichepin from 1:00 – 5:00 PM
  • Tech for Seniors @ 2:00 PM: Social Media. Final Installment.
  • Havana Book Club @ 6:00 PM meets to discuss The Moravian Night by Peter Handke

  • Upcycle @ 10:00 AM: Book Wrapping. We’ll be wrapping and adorning books for our new Gift-A-Book carts in preparation for holiday shopping. One of our carts will be full of books fit for gifts! Stop by and lend a hand while we wrap and get ready for the season of giving!
