Walkin’ History with Schuyler County Historical Society

July 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM Historic Montour Falls Walking Tour

Location: Starts at Montour Falls Library

Presented in Partnership by Schuyler County Historical Society & Brick Tavern Museum, Watkins Glen Public Library, Dutton S. Peterson Memorial Library, Montour Falls Memorial Library, Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association.

Summer Storytime • Fridays at 11am
Use the ramp at the back of the building if you prefer to avoid the front steps.

Visit the library for Storytime every Friday at 11am! Storytimes are geared toward ages 0-5 and are followed by an art project or other themed activity.

Diving into books from an early age is like handing them a magical key to the world of letters and sounds! It’s the first step on their epic journey to becoming a reading superstar.

Introducing kids to books and the magic of language early on is like giving them a superpower for vocabulary, understanding others, and expressing themselves!



Saturday Night Pride

Saturday, July 19th • 6-8pm

Saturday, August 23rd • 6-8pm

Montour Falls Library and Dutton S. Peterson Memorial Library are hosting Saturday Night PRIDE, a monthly social group for 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth and Allies ages 13-18. No registration is required.

This event is funded largely by the Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries and with support from SoFLX Pride.

Introduction to Dungeons & Dragons• July 12, 19 • 1:30 – 2:30pm
First and Third Saturdays unless otherwise noted.

Now for ages 13+ ! Premade characters – just drop in! You are welcome to stay until the library closes at 3pm. We thank you for your consideration to our staff and their duties!

Fantasy Book Club • PAUSED UNTIL SEPTEMBER

Fantasy Book Cub meets the last Tuesday at 6pm unless otherwise noted. This program is geared toward ages 18+. Place holds at STARCat.stls.org and read or listen on Libby.
